“The Star is You” comes in a time when hopelessness, confusion, apathy, and darkness seem to be a growing trend. This song is born in dedication to all the heroes without a cape on the front lines against this pandemic. As well as to you, the star who lights up the way for everyone else with positivism, action, and love.

Composed, arranged, produced, and recorded during the COVID-19 quarantine lockdown, this song was a cross-world cooperation in 3 different countries (U.S., Mexico, & China). Not to mention the amazing touch of renowned Mexican producer Andres Pelaez (Reik, Reyli Barba, Shaila Durcal, and Luis Miguel).

Background

Emilio Conde, coming from his widely acclaimed Spanish Rock project, “Montecristo”, not only reached #4 in the U.S. Alternative Latin Indie Charts with his song “Teresa” but also kept it for 20 consecutive weeks. Furthermore sharing stages with Latin rock and pop stars such as Anahi, Paty Cantu, Gloria Trevi, Molotov, Enanitos Verdes, El Tri, Miguel Mateos, Kalimba, Belinda, Cristian Castro, and The Wailers among many others.

Later he was featured on the song “Earth Passport” by Liquid Blue singing in Spanish and Italian. This song would reach the U.S. Billboard Charts, as well as a position in the Guinness World Records as “the song sung in the most languages nominated for the Billboards”.

As a result of his hard-working and talent in the music business, he was featured at the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou, China, representing Hispanic American talent in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

This release of “The Star is You”, without a doubt, strengthens his position as an international crossover artist!
